International Baccalauereate Diploma Program

 In April of 2007, Curtis High School joined a group of over 2000 schools in over 125 different countries authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme to junior and senior students who present outstanding academic achievement and that show excellent citizenship and good character. The IB Diploma Programme educates students with a high quality internationally recognized curriculum world wide. The IB Diploma Programme will help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
 

 IBDP Course Sequence

The IB Course Sequence starts junior year. Students are required to choose one subject from each of the six academic areas, although they can choose a second subject from Groups 1 to 5 instead of a Group 6 subject. Normally, three subjects (and not more than four) are taken at Higher Level (HL), and the others are taken at Standard Level (SL). Students must also complete an Extended Essay, follow aTheory of Knowledge course (TOK), and participate in Creativity, Activity, Service
